This event will bring together a multidisciplinary group of scholars and researchers from within and outside of UCLA to advance critical race approaches to HIV/AIDS disparities research and practice.
OBJECTIVES
To introduce the basic tenets of Critical Race Theory to HIV/AIDS researchers
To explore key considerations for employing critical race methodologies in HIV/AIDS disparities research
To generate an action plan for publishing research using the critical race public health methodology
To establish a network of researchers interested in advancing critical race public health praxis
TARGET AUDIENCE
HIV/AIDS prevention researchers, critical race theorists and others interested in advancing critical race approaches to HIV/AIDS prevention research and practice
