Welcome to CRS Online beta, the online presence of the

Critical Race Studies Program at the UCLA School of Law

Notice on the left navigation bar that the site is divided into the CRS Program and the Encyclopedia.

The CRS Program section provides information about the Critical Race Studies Program at UCLA School of Law.  If you are not within the UCLA community, use this section to find out more about our program, which is unique in American legal education.  If you are already a member of the law school, this section provides useful administrative information and a constantly updated calendar of events.

The CRS Encyclopedia is an online repository of knowledge about race, law, and critical race theory.  From its inception, critical race theory has worked to de-mystify law, legal doctrine, legal processes, and the production of knowledge.  The purpose of the CRS Online encyclopedia is to use technology to make the race law canon more accessible to those interested in racial justice.

We've just started building this resource and hope to have a substantial number of entries by Summer 2009.  This site is in beta, so we're experimenting with everything, ranging from look and feel, content, and organization.  If you have thoughts and suggestions, we'd love to hear them.  Email Prof. Jerry Kang with your comments.
